Roxie is a gentle, sweet-tempered heeler who was picked up running loose in the Village of Chama and unclaimed by her owners. We can't believe anyone would fail to claim this wonderful girl! She adores her foster mom and, although she loves to play, is eager to please her human companions and walks obediently with or without a leash. She is good with children but would also be good with an older individual. We can't say enough about this sweet girl except that we want to find a very special family who deserves her devotion! Roxie is a medium-sized dog, about 40 or 45 lbs. We think she is not more than a year old. We will be scheduling her for spay very soon and she will have all up-to-date shots before she is available for adoption. In addition to a soft coat and velvety brown eyes, Roxy has a very bushy striped tail--it looks like she might be part racoon!
